I'll tell you what - I don't like zoos. It's
not that I don't like animals but I always feel sorry
for them, and I can get a better view of natural
behavior on the Discovery Channel.
That said, I love this attraction. First, there's the
Dolphin Habitat where excellent close-up views above and
below the water put you right up close to a family of Atlantic bottlenose dolphins. Note, the
animals don't do any 'performances' - just their natural
play and interaction. Also, all the dolphins were born in captivity or relocated to this 2.5 million-gallon tank - none were removed from the wild.
Recently added was the Secret Garden, a habitat for
Siegfried & Roy's tigers, lions, panthers, and an
elephant. Again, you are brought face-to-face with
these fascinating creatures. A very enjoyable attraction
that you really have to see. Located at the
Mirage.
